Chris Evans makes use of his law degree

Also known as Puncture, this true-lifer stars a compelling Chris Evans as Michael D. Weiss, a drug-addicted lawyer who takes on the Goliath that is corrupt medical-supply companies: those who put thousands of American nurses at risk of AIDS by not adopting a slightly more expensive, but safer type of needle.

Though hampered by legal clichés, it’s an earnest drama in which, if anything, Evans’ portrayal of a flawed hero is almost too good; his OTT playboy antics distract from the sobering impact of just how terrifying a privatised health service can really be.
