A DVD of outtakes - really?

Jackass 3.5 review

Released in a shower of extra-dimensional effluent, Jackass 3D proved an inspired use of the format, but this follow-up DVD takes – rather than drinks – the piss.

A collection of alternately painful/pointless outtakes, it collates the film’s many fails with wincingly cynical results.

“Some things just don’t translate to camera,” says Chris Pontius, but that doesn’t stop them trying (and trying and trying). The extras even feature outtakes of the outtakes!

A stunt called barrel surfing provides the clue: this kind of cash-in indeed requires barrels, but nobody’s surfing them.
