Kung Fu Panda 2

The high-kicking Panda returns in beautifully animated action flick

After watching Shrek get milked dry, no one was looking forward to seeing the same fate befall Jack Black’s highkicking hero. Nowhere near the cynical sequel it might have been, part two does everything right – emerging funnier and more exciting than the original. Black’s ursine noodle chef still gets the most laughs, but he nearly meets his match in Gary Oldman’s dastardly peacock, threatening the furious five with an explosive new weapon. Beautifully animated and packed with chopsocky action, DreamWorks’ heartfelt and hilarious follow-up ratchets up the awesomeness.
