A very watchable documentary about a rock legend

Lemmy review

Wes Orshoski and Greg Olliver’s fans’-eye portrait of the heavy-metal Johnny Cash is reverential rather than revelatory, but Lemmy’s gruff humour and a starry support cast sustain interest.

The Motorhead survivor betrays few emotions, but there’s good access to him drinking, rocking, chilling in his LA flat and gassing with Billy Bob Thornton, Dave Grohl et al.

The disc brims with interviews, live footage and anecdotes, including one about how Lem made the directors clean his kitchen before he’d fry his chips on camera. How bad-ass?
