Men In Black 3

2

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones team up again to fight the next batch of aliens

Peer past Rick Baker’s gooey, fabulous effects and the real draw of Men In Black 3 is its trio of headline performances.

Will Smith eases back into his leading-man stride with a winning grin that makes his four-year absence seem a waste, and there’s huge fun to be had with Josh Brolin’s dead-eyed impersonation of a young Tommy Lee Jones (courtesy of the Back To The Future plot) and Jemaine Clement’s monstrous alien villain (a Hugo Weaving/ Tim Curry lovechild).

If the film’s better than feared, the extras are as bland as expected – the Making Of and SFX featurettes are slickly insubstantial.

I can’t wait to see the gag reel when I buy this movie because I not only love gag reels but I bet Will Smith was cracking everyone up on set. I never grow tired of seeing Tommy Lee angry or Will Smith goofy and jumping all over the place. I never thought of Tim Curry but now that you mention it… I have the opportunity to see a lot of bad movies since I have unlimited monthly rentals with my DISH Blockbuster @Home subscription so I rely a lot on my DISH coworker’s recommendations and reviews like this one before I put a movie in my queue. I choose between over 100,000 titles and love watching in the comfort of my own home, with my family and/or friends.
