Peer past Rick Baker’s gooey, fabulous effects and the real draw of Men In Black 3 is its trio of headline performances.
Will Smith eases back into his leading-man stride with a winning grin that makes his four-year absence seem a waste, and there’s huge fun to be had with Josh Brolin’s dead-eyed impersonation of a young Tommy Lee Jones (courtesy of the Back To The Future plot) and Jemaine Clement’s monstrous alien villain (a Hugo Weaving/ Tim Curry lovechild).
If the film’s better than feared, the extras are as bland as expected – the Making Of and SFX featurettes are slickly insubstantial.
