Repo Men

2

Blood-drenched action, sci-fi...

Set in a future where artificial organs are routinely repossessed when their owners fall behind on payments, this blood-drenched actioner would be a tough sell even without a smirking Jude Law as its belly-slicing hero.

Suffice to say he arouses not a scrap of sympathy when he finds himself with a ticker he can ill afford, forcing him to flee with erstwhile partner Forest Whitaker hot on his heels.

Recycling ideas from superior dystopian sci-fis, director Miguel Sapochnik tries to offset the stomach-churning material with inky humour, with erratic results.
