The seventh and (supposedly) final Saw is not a good film: like most entries, the convoluted plot is baffling, the dialogue wobbly, the sets wobblier, any original spark long gone.
It earns an extra star purely for its honest lack of ambition beyond grossing out teens and the perverse inventiveness of the trademark traps. But it’s best for everyone if the series bows out now.
Extras include two smart commentaries – though the writers don’t sound like people you’d want to sit next to on a plane.
