Andy Serkis channels punk-rock poet Ian Dury in this energetic Brit biopic, which sees the late Blockheads frontman chronicling his life, Bronson-style, during a greatest hits gig.
The tone is suitably anarchic, though it often comes at the expense of narrative coherency.
Fortunately, Serkis’ fiercely committed turn wins through, while the concert concept treats us to some cracking covers of Dury’s tunes.
