The first of 2010’s artificial insemination-coms (see also The Switch and The Kids Are All Right) fires blanks from the moment an implausibly single J-Lo is donor-impregnated.
She meets Mr Right moments later and the rest of Alan Poul’s flaccid chick flick revolves around whether dashing cheese-maker Alex O’Loughlin will stay the course once he learns she’s carrying twins.
Combining a lovey-dovey view of idealised motherhood with a queasy distaste for its biological realities, this CBS Films production has a no less schizophrenic attitude towards single-parent families.
