This 2D-and-3D package of Robert Zemeckis’ yuletide flick steams into shops, not necessarily for the better.
Some 3D scenes gain depth but colours are muted and the red-green specs still wear badly.
Age doesn’t salvage the film either, its schmaltz bludgeoning when it should charm and the mo-capped characters resembling Botoxed zombies.
Imax viewings might dazzle but, on telly, any spectacle is multi-diminished.
