Promises that this penultimate Twilight was going to have more blood, sex and violence fall flat in what is still a tame teen melodrama.
Only fans will appreciate the fetishised wedding of wan Bella (Kristen Stewart) to sulky exsanguinator Edward (Robert Pattinson), their PG honeymoon bonk, the subsequent hand-wringing over Bella’s pregnancy, Vader-sounding wolves and falling in love with babies. WTF.
But for Twi-hards, director Bill Condon succeeds in faithfully adapting key sequences, injecting pace and tension to set up thirst for the final film. Extras unavailable.
