X-Men: The Last Stand

3

Eight years later...

“I’m the juggernaut, bitch!” Sadly, the Brett Ratner-directed third chapter in the X-Men saga will likely be remembered for Vinnie Jones’ lousy one-liners, but it’s not as bad as his clangers would suggest.

The Last Stand sees the introduction of a mutant ‘cure’, which Magneto (Ian McKellen) uses as an excuse to start an all-out war with mankind.

It’s riddled with plot holes, but there’s still plenty to satisfy X-fans – Kelsey Grammer’s Beast is a treat, while Professor X’s (Patrick Stewart) swansong (sort of) is a tense, emotional series standout.
