The plight of Planet Terra makes for a dull 3D experience

If this 3D animation about a race of peace-loving aliens being terra-rised by warmongering humans doesn’t remind you of a certain James Cameron movie we’ll be very surprised.

Sadly, it’s not just Avatar that Aristomenis Tsirbas’ film suffers in comparison to – even Planet 51 looks good beside it.

The slim story sees downed pilot Jim (Luke Wilson) form an attachment to feisty local Mala (Evan Rachel Wood) that makes him turn against Brian Cox’s evil general.

Unfortunately, when the latter says of the Terrians, “There’s nothing for them to do but wait for the end,” he’ll likely be voicing the thoughts of most of the audience.
