Grown Ups 2

More immature antics from Adam Sandler and friends

Three years on from the first Grown Ups, Lenny (Adam Sandler) and childhood pals Eric, Kurt and Marcus (Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade) reunite in their New England hometown, where they take on a crew of strapping young fratboys (led by Heroes’ Milo Ventimiglia) who have invaded the swimming hole where they all used to hang out.

That’s about it for plot, unless you count a heapof bullshit about nagging wives and mixed-up kids.

The simplest way to put it is that if you liked the first Grown Ups, you will also like this one: it’s an equally shameless, just-as shoddy, no-less depressing sprawl of ‘life lessons’ and fat gags.

Although the deer-piss thing is something new.

I had to register to comment on this because it pains me so much. I love Total Film but what the hell is this review? Objective? Informative? Even intellegent? I would 100% say absolutly known of the above. What is the point in even posting this, let alone taking the time to read it. Just to think that someone was actually paid to write this, a job that many of us would love to do and in my opinion could do much better than this. It's clear from this review that the person writing it is not a fan of this type of movies and therefore has not even given it the time of day. As with almost every film Sandler makes it won't be Oscar worthy and will include plenty of low level humour, but you go into this fully aware that will be the case. Your not walking into a Scorsese film expecting one thing and then amazed that he has taking a sudden liking for fart jokes. It is what it is and will do well more than likely because enough people like a good trashy comedy. Total Film you are better than this and this type of pointless review, shame be upon you...

The first "Grown Ups" was s**t, and I *LIKE* a good trashy comedy. Seriously, there's nothing here saying that he's "biased" against gross-out comedies, he's just biased against s**t films. Stop being so damn sensitive.

@discod TF is exactly the type of magazine to recognise the bits of genius behind a film like, say, 'Something About Mary' or one of my favourite underrated films 'You Don't Mess With The Zohan'. To criticise it for not liking Grown Ups 2, a universally reviled film seems pretty insane. Of course it'll be awful, its got some of the worst comedy actors and the WORST EVER comedy director at the helm.

I like a lot of films, we all do as cinema fans, anyone who says they don't like any films that are not well received is a big fat liar. Yet there is a limit and Grown Ups 2 presents us with a sequel very few asked for outside of Sandler's head. The big question is, will this be worse than Movie 43?!

well its obvious ken didnt watch this movie, he musta read someone else review then wrote his own half a*s attempt. the frat boys were lead by Taylor lautner, milo was his side kick, if ken had watched the film he woulda known that. the film itself is alright cant wait for grown ups 3.

As much as I personally hated the first one, I thought it was a Lame a*s s****y rip off of The Great Outdoors, I agree with Discod1983. This is a shocking review. Some Total Film reviews can go on for pages explaining why a film is great, if this deserves one star please explain why..............PITIFUL!
