Widowed massage therapist Gabrielle Rose has lost the ability to truly touch. An eye doctor is losing his hearing and builds a library of sounds. A cake decorator (Parker) struggles to taste her creations. A cleaner (MacIvor) thinks he can detect the smell of love. And a young girl becomes a voyeur...

Writer-director Jeremy Podeswa creates an atmosphere of slight unreality, through an autumnal colour scheme and imaginative use of interiors with operatic music. He also elicits some endearing performances from his international ensemble cast.
