With honour, betrayal and debts repaid in blood, plus a healthy side-order of imperial intrigue, 14 Blades does nothing to shake up the age-old martial arts movie formula.
It at least benefits from confident direction, ferocious action and another fine turn from the always dependable Donnie Yen.
