28 Weeks Later

3

A fresh pair of eyes”: that’s what 28 Days Later director Danny Boyle was after when he passed the zombie-franchise to Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Intacto). Ironically, one of this sequel’s greatest strengths is its stylistic similarities to its jagged, jerky-cam predecessor. Like many a horror follow-up, there’s more gore (the Rage returns to a repopulated London) yet 28 Weeks... is just as fiercely intelligent.
