Noel Clarke repurposes Kidulthood’s dark London streets as the launchpad for a ditzy, glitzy crime caper revolving around a diamond heist.
The writer/co-director/actor follows the fall-out via four gal-pals’ separate stories, hitting rewind each time. quite a bit like Go, then, but it falls short of Doug Liman’s nifty indie, the heels and handbags clashing awkwardly with clarke’s trademark menace.
The flesh on show, meanwhile, proves more exploitative than empowering. clarke’s chirpy chat with fellow director mark Davis is the pick of the disc.
