638 Ways To Kill Castro

Often eye-opening, sometimes jaw-flooring, Dollan Cannell’s Channel 4 doc takes a half-century-spanning survey of the many attempts to shoot, gas, bomb and de-beard Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. The dark laughs (exploding cigar, anyone?) jockey with a pertinent exposé of links between the US establishment and Cuban terrorism. No new chats with Castro, alas, but Cannell does track down several ageing would-be hatchet-men, yakking informatively for the camera himself in the interview-rammed extras.
