A Life Less Ordinary

3

Danny Boyle's screwball rom-com didn't get the critical acclaim of Shallow Grave and Trainspotting, but it's much better with hindsight. Sure, the story of incompetent kidnapper Ewan McGregor falling for victim Cameron Diaz is daft - especially in its song and dance sequence and crap claymation end credits. But the leads are charismatic and Holly Hunter is a scene-stealing badass angel.

DVD Extras:

Cast and crew interviews, behind-the-scenes footage.Unlike the pan & scan video, this has a crisp widescreen print and colourful booklet. The interviews, recorded on set, let just about everyone have their say but they're poorly edited, with sound that cuts out before the speaker's finished. Still, the other behind-the-scenes stuff is well assembled, and cinematographer Brian Tufano's images look great on DVD.
