Ace Ventura Pet Detective (12)

Ace Ventura's a pet detective. He finds missing animals. It ain't War And Peace. Jim Carrey's breakthrough film isn't for everyone: if you can't stand his trademark gurning and wild physical larks, you'll hate this. But for those who enjoy their comedy broad and capped with a touch of mad, this is a delight. Trivia fans can relish an early big-screen appearance of Friends' Courteney Cox Arquette.

None.There's a word for discs like this one, and Ace himself says it best: "Loo-hoo-sers." No outtakes, no behind-the-scenes featurette, not even deleted scenes. The 'special' features menu is even insulting enough to tempt you forward with two pages. The unwary or overly curious will be rewarded with, er, copyright info. Lovely, that. With shoddy picture quality to boot, save yer cash and get the tape.
