Virginal blonde goddess Mandy (Amber Heard) has the male half of her Texan high school in a hormonal tizzy. After a pool party prologue that ends messily, the plot flashes forward nine months to a shindig on a remote ranch, where a maniac starts trimming numbers. Evoking rough-edged ’70s shockers, this postmodern slasher soon reverts to genre. The twist ending’s a doozy, though. Paltry extras.
