Amélie is a good-hearted hug of a movie. By the time the fairytale of a young girl’s efforts to improve the lives of everyone around her kisses off, even the most granite-hearted cynic will believe in true love.

Director's commentary, trailers, storyboards, Script To Screen feature, director and stars Q&A, interview with director, Audrey Tautou's Funny Faces feature, Making Of featurette.It's difficult to be cynical when considering Amélie, but releasing this Special Edition just months after everyone forked out for the basic package has more than a whiff of exploitative marketing about it. Disc one is the same as the original release, but disc two is just about worth the additional fiver.
