Glance over the history of the tough-guy-looking-after-sprogs subgenre and you'll exhume such wonders as Mr Nanny, so the prognosis for Ice Cube's cuddly comedy isn't good. But wait! This is shockingly crap-free. The Cube is Nick, a streetwise suburbanite taking two obnoxious kids (Aleisha Allen and Philip Bolden) on a road trip to convince them he's right for their mom (Nia Long). Predictable chaos ensues but Cube's natural charisma keeps it light, if never more than forgettably pleasant.
