You must know the drill by now: loopy Victorian inventor Phileas Fogg (Steve Coogan) locks shrubby chops with rent-a-villain Jim Broadbent and, taking great care to shout the title over swelling music, accepts the famous globe-trotting challenge. Along for the ride is personal valet/art-thief Passepartout (Jackie Chan), who's on the run from Chinese villains and bumbling coppers. Recognising Coogan's diffidence, Chan shamelessly swipes the film and runs with it... Jumps with it... Leaps and japes and comedy double-takes with it.
It's a cheerfully goofy, global road/balloon/boat trip that's only really interested in squeezing the gags out of each location before moving on to the next. Non-threatening, knockabout nonsense that might just conjure a smirk when you're wedged in the sofa, punch-drunk on Boxing Day spirit.
