Away From Her

Moving, refreshingly unsentimental feature debut from actor-turned-director Sarah Polley. Emulating the pared-down, thoughtful style of her mentor Atom Egoyan, the 28-year-old Canadian charts the impact of Alzheimer’s on Christie’s Fiona and her quietly anguished husband (Gordon Pinsent).


DVD Extras:

DVD includes a halting Christie commentary and deleted scenes.
