A by-the-book buddy movie, Baby Mama inevitably veers into mushy territory towards the end, but the first smart, snappy 90 minutes should have the Amy Poehler fan club overrun with new members.
Sigourney Weaver is also ace as a smugly fertile old lady and even the deleted scenes are a blast.
