If the thought of Nicole Kidman as a mail-order bride isn’t enough to get the juices flowing, then Ben Chaplin’s revelatory turn as the English suburbanite sucked into her honey trap should do the trick. The black-comedy set-up runs out of gas soon after the bride’s ‘cousins’ Vincent Cassel and Mathieu Kassovitz arrive, but this remains one of the better Brit flicks of last year.
