Michael Caine broke his little toe while filming this 1983 comedy, spending the rest of the shoot in agony. Well may he look pained and you will too after enduring this woeful wish-fulfillment fantasy, which sees Caine playing an ageing lothario who embarks on an affair with his best friend's teenage daughter.
It's hard to say what's worse: Caine's pathetic lusting after the nubile Michelle Johnson, or the fact that he does so for Singin' In The Rain helmer Stanley Donen. Judging from the leaden pacing and the gratuitous topless shots, Donen's best days were long behind him. Plus points? A young Demi Moore is surprisingly good as Caine's disapproving daughter.
