Bloodbath At The House Of Death

1

Short jokes done fast so you don’t notice they’re not particularly funny,” is how Kenny Everett describes his comedy style in an archive interview featured on this disc. He’s spot on. Not short or fast enough to paper over its lack of larfs, this haunted-house horror spoof tries to be the British answer to Young Frankenstein but is about as much fun as watching blood dry. “I don’t believe it, 700 years undead and now this,” complains genre stalwart Vincent Price. You can’t help feeling sorry for the poor sod.
