Bloody Sunday

4

Originally shown on TV before getting a limited cinema release, Paul Greengrass' powerful movie is a documentary-style recreation of the events of 30 January 1972 - Bloody Sunday - when a civil rights demonstration in Derry ended in tragedy, after British paratroopers shot and killed 13 people. James Nesbitt (Waking Ned, TV series Cold Feet) is a revelation as Ivan Cooper, a politician campaigning for peaceful change.
