Bound (tbc)

This lesbian blackmail mob thriller didn't exactly set the box office alight, though the critics (and if our Millennium Poll is to be believed, Total Film readers) got very steamed up. What it did do, however, was announce to the world a brand new cinematic talent in the Wachowski Brothers, who went on to write and direct a little sci-fi flick called The Matrix. Bound features much of their trademark style and gloss, plus a twisted spin on an old plot.

DVD Extras:

Directors and actors' commentary, production featurette, cast and crew biographies.Kudos to Pathé: this disc is, - wait for it - even, more loaded with extras than its Region One counterpart. Okay, so the featurette isn't exactly a jaw-dropper (clocking in at all of five minutes), but it's still an achievement. Elsewhere, the commentary from cast and crew is fun and enlightening. One for all you Gina Gershon fans out there.
