Francis Ford Coppola's gloriously designed film is the most recent of many cinematic takes on the perennial horror legend. Gary Oldman excels as the fanged one, with a capable turn from Anthony Hopkins, while Richard E Grant and Winona Ryder ham it up and Keanu is just terrible.
DVD Extras:
Filmographies, trailers, Making Of doc and costume designs. It was slated on release, but the original's lavish excess gets to shine through on the DVD format. There's also a very telling half-hour doc called Dracula: The Man, The Myth, The Legend, featuring a century of Dracula on film, Coppola's ego, Oldman's intensity and Hopkins' grumpiness .Columbia/ Universal has gone to a lot of trouble.
