Brother Bear

3

Another touchy-feely trad-animation from the Mouse House, Brother Bear earned a best 'toon Oscar nom due to a desperate lack of contenders and suffered in comparison to the witty Belleville Rendez-Vous and the fabulous Finding Nemo. But the small screen is kinder than the cinema and if you flick into Saturday-morning TV mode, it's inoffensive enough for adults and should keep the under-fives ecstatic.

Joaquin Phoenix lends his larynx to Kenai, a hard-headed Inuit who's transformed into a Grizzly to learn the error of his unloving ways. Sounds pukesome, but in practice a cute cub and dumb-arse moose double-act keep the laughs coming.
