Bullets Over Broadway

4

John Cusack takes the Woody role in Allen's '20s-set comedy about the struggle of a tortured young playwright to get his work produced. Jennifer Tilly is excruciatingly annoying as the mob moll he must cast to get funding, but that's the point, and it gives Chazz Palminteri's hood/aspiring writer a killer pay-off line.

DVD Extras:

Nada. Although only co-written by Allen, Bullets... is an interesting insight into the mind of America's most consistent writer/director, touching on self-doubt, the art-versus-family fight and the strains stardom puts on a relationship. A comedy with heart as well as humour. So why are there no damn extras?
