Made-for-cable horror flick gets some mileage out of the premature burial angle

Harking back to early Craven and Romero, this made-for-cable horror flick gets some mileage out of the premature burial angle. It’s a Tales From The Crypt-style horror thriller: blue-collar schmo Tim Matheson is poisoned into a zombie coma by hussy wife Jennifer Jason Leigh and her doctor lover, then buried – you guessed it – alive. Handling the minor chills with journeyman skill, debut director Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead) sets up a decent payoff as Tim returns from the grave and traps his “killers” in a DIY maze in the family home.
