Taut but also pleasingly parochial British heist thriller. It’s a ‘one last job’ affair that owes a good deal to earlier classic Rififi, with a dog-eared London crew pulling together for a meticulously planned bank strike.
There are no extras, and it lacks the style of its French cousin, but it’s full of clock-ticking tension.
