Issues. Choke’s characters have got a bunch of ’em. More messed up than most is Victor Mancini (Sam Rockwell): a sex addict, con man and historical re-enactor trying to unlock the secrets of his past.
A superb ensemble cast bring their A game, but Clark Gregg’s directing debut lacks the stylistic panache needed to visualise novelist Chuck Palahniuk’s black romantic comedy.
A decent if unadventurous indie. Extras are plentiful but slight.
