CSI: Season 6.2

4

A suspicious death occurs; William Petersen reels off something profound, cocks an eyebrow, then Roger Daltrey and co. rattle out ‘Who Are You?’ Yes, the format may be getting a mite predictable, but the execution is still solid gold. CSI is the new Star Trek: a reliable template, spin-offs aplenty and a swelling fanbase whose loyalty puts Greyfriars Bobby to shame. This second platter of episodes from season six continues to get more personal, peeling back the skin on the lives of Gil Grissom (Petersen) and his team of forensic snoopers. Pick of the bunch this time around is Kiss Kiss, Bye Bye, featuring a flawless Faye Dunaway as a mink-draped, Mob-connected ex-showgirl who throws a killer party that ends in murder.
