Dawn Of The Dead: The Director's Cut

4

George Romero's horrific sequel to Night Of The Living Dead finds the zombies still shuffling around Pittsburgh. An armed group of survivors hole up in a shopping mall, but how long can they keep the rotting hordes at bay?

DVD Extras:

Stills gallery, commentary. FX maestro/stuntman Tom Savini's affectionate, if rambling, commentary makes this a must for Romero completists. Recorded exclusively for the UK DVD release of the director's 139-minute cut of his gruesome classic (although we learn that it's actually one of several rough cuts submitted to the Cannes Film Festival), its inclusion represents a small triumph for BMG. Unlike the American version, however, this is not in widescreen, while the quality of the picture ranges from smeary to razor sharp. You win some, you lose some.
