A toe-curling romp taking in reunited lost loves, comedy policemen and a two-dimensional IRA sub-plot, this Irish/Welsh collaboration doesn’t derserve the effort put in by its cast, particularly Michael Sheen who, as a combination of Russell Brand and Withnail, seems to be trying to shout it into shape. It doesn’t work.
