A generation of women know "Nobody puts Baby in a corner," but Dirty Dancing fans looking to recapture the time of their lives won't find it in this well-intentioned but limp re-imagining.
In 1958 Cuba, a virginal American gal (Romola Garai) learns to get down'n'dirty with a sweet, snake-hipped waiter (Diego Luna). Though Garai and Luna can move, their horizontal tango is unconvincing and strangely chaste, leaving Patrick Swayze to entertain with a knowing cameo as a dance teacher.
DVD Extras:
A slew of superfluous deleted scenes are of limited interest, while Swayze is sadly missing from the cast interviews.
