Doctor Strange

2

A Stan Lee/Steve Ditko Marvel Comics creation, Doctor Strange has never infiltrated the public imagination like super-stable-mates Spidey and Hulk. Alas, this feature-length ’tooner won’t make him a living-room name. The 2D animation’s crisp, the voice-work convincing, but the plot – a demon trying to enter our dimension via kids in comas – feels like something Joss Whedon would’ve cut from Buffy.

Verdict:

Garnished with Dikto’s terrifically trippy art, it makes you want to source the original comics – probably a better cash-splash in the first place.
