Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story

3

Glossy, pacey, mystical, Rob Cohen's 1993 take on the life of Bruce Lee presents the young dragon's all-too-brief existence in as gripping a light as possible, while framing the story with familiar kung fu genre devices.

DVD Extras:

Theatrical trailers, Making Of featurette, Bruce Lee interview, production storyboards, Jason Scott Lee screen test, outtakes featurette, production stills, promo clips, photos, commentary, production notes. The extras take ages to explore fully and provide plenty of behind-the-scenes insights into the production, making this disc extremely good value for fans and casual viewers alike.

Verdict:

As bio flicks go this is one of the most action-packed, balancing the romantic, myth-making aspects of Lee's life with the hero's more realistic struggle for acceptance and success in the US.
