Dragonheart

2

Utilising the same ground-breaking CG technology showcased in Jurassic Park, the team behind this mild fantasy adventure sadly became a little caught up in the "gosh-wow" dragon effects. It's all very impressive, but they forgot to fill out any of their human characters with personalities. Bog-standard sword and sorcery, good versus evil, and even Sean Connery as Draco, can't make the lines believable.

DVD Extras:

Making Of documentary, two out-takes, teaser trailer, notes, director's commentary. Columbia makes its usual effort to fill the disc, but what's the point with a film this bland? Nothing the director can say makes any impact, and, unsurprisingly, he's obsessed with the dragon. Pumping extras into a disc such as this is like filling a Robin Reliant with performance fuel. But at least the DVD won't explode.
