Like the relationship at its centre, this thick-headed thriller starts sprightly before turning sour. Jennifer Lopez is a down-at-heel waitress whose fairytale marriage goes awry when Prince Charming turns out to be a Philandering Psycho. Bill Campbell does a good job of blending charm with menace, but Jenny from the block appears uneasy in Sleeping With The Enemy: The Idiots' Cut.
DVD Extras:
Lopez blabs about the parallels with Rocky in a featurette that reveals just how crass and shallow this whole enterprise is. The producers' commentary is packed but bland and the writer and director track self-congratulatory and forgettable - - notable only for Michael Apted's thought-free comments on some `surprising' casting choices. An African-American lawyer! Some `nice' Arabs! How very daring.
