Edgy, livewire cop Orin Boyd (Steven Seagal) gets posted to the toughest Detroit precinct to keep him out of the way. He's also sent to Anger Management classes, which would make a pretty good high concept movie in itself. Alas this plot line is quickly shelved in favour of standard drug-dealing and police corruption. Andrzej Bartkowiak, directing another Joel Silver production after last year's Romeo Must Die, provides the same no-frills macho-fest with Hong Kong choreography. Also on board is rapper DMX, who should stick to his day job.
DVD Extras:
Making Of, A Day On The Set With Anthony Anderson video diary, DMX music video & trailer.Co-star Anderson makes for a dryly entertaining guide in his video diary, complaining about the size of his trailer and shouting at passers-by ""Do you know who I am?"" Elsewhere though, that ""From the producer of The Matrix"" line is wearing pretty thin.
