George Romero’s zombie oeuvre has been examined from so many angles over the past 40 years that the movies themselves no longer hold as much mystery as the filmmakers, actors, and even the sets that begat them.
Enter French filmmaker Nicolas Garreau, who travelled to Pennsylvania in 2008 to dig through Romero’s old stomping grounds, including now infamous cinematic landmarks like the cemetery from Night Of The Living Dead and the Monroeville mall, host of Dawn Of The Dead.
It’s a unique spin on the Dead legacy, reverent, absurd and weirdly charming.
