Fast Times At Ridgemont High

4

Hated by the studio and critically panned upon its 1982 release, Fast Times nevertheless fought its way to cult status. Witty and honest, it charts the adventures of a bunch of teens - - including a bravura Sean Penn as stoned surfer Jeff Spicoli.

DVD Extras:

Commentary with director Amy Heckerling and writer Cameron Crowe, Reliving Our Fast Times documentary, The Hangouts Of Ridgemont High featurette, music highlights, trailer, & bios. Heckerling and Crowe are disarmingly funny as they revisit the film that launched their careers, and their shared affection for it is strikingly apparent. The 40-minute doc's also great, with contributions from the stars and producers adding yet more invaluable info.
