Tense thriller about an IRA informer in 80's Belfast

Conviction is a casualty in Kari Skogland’s thriller, “inspired by” IRA tout Martin McGartland’s life but disowned by him.

Style and Jim Sturgess work hard with the homily-heavy script.

No talk-track could tidy up such tensions and Skogland’s one doesn’t try. Problematic.
